Description : IKO Real Estate’s Rout Lëns project transforms a former steelworks site in Esch-sur-Alzette into a sustainable, mixed-use neighborhood aiming for carbon neutrality by 2035. It will offer over 1,400 diverse homes, including affordable, student, and senior housing, alongside green spaces, urban farming, and cultural facilities. The development integrates advanced geothermal and solar energy systems, heritage building restoration, and sustainable mobility options. Phased over a decade, Rout Lëns combines environmental innovation with social inclusion to create a vibrant, healthy community. As part of its goal to achieve WELL Community Certification IKO will certify a selection of individual buildings within the community, one of which is the Senior Residence, located at the heart of the community.
